| All of the speeches were funny and terrific. Perhaps the most emotional was Harvey Fierstein, who talked about meeting Jerry Herman and how he was off the most generous and kind collaborators imaginable. Fierstein had a wonderful story about meeting Herman for the first time, only to discover that he had already written "Mascara" for La Cage after seeing Harvey in his off-broadway show. |
