I agree about Teri Ralston(she was wonderful) though I thought was Rodd was funny which softened the character's nastiness..more so than Charlotte Rae in the TV movie. It is curious that this theatre has big donors but the money is not visible onstage. It is indeed re-imagined...at least musically, notable to us BALLROOM/QUEEN OF THE STARDUST BALLROOM fans.

The overture, played by an 8 pc band..now includes Fifty Percent
Two songs are gone: More of the Same, the disco number that was supposedly a huge showstopper..and I've Been Waiting All My Life

I Wish You A Waltz, now ends Act One

A Big Mistake, sung by Maureen Stapleton in the film and Claiborne Cary(as Angie) in the 1992 Tyne Daly revisal(there is a YouTube clip) has been replaced by one of the new songs called The Time Is Now which is almost as good...Family Counsel is another new song(not so good)..Ralston gets another new song called When A Guy Really Knows How To Dance..Pennies and Dreams from the TV movie, is heard as incidental music(does anyone remember if this was the case in the original Broadway production?)

This Is More Than A Ballroom is listed as the finale, in tandem with a reprise of I WIsh You A Waltz...not to be confused with Marvin Hamlisch's This Is More Than A Ballroom
written for the 2010(?) workshop that contained several new songs by him

ENCORES really needs to do this show with their usual big orchestra and a stage full of amazing older dancers
