I read the play for the first time about 3 1/2 years ago, waiting for someone in a small town library. I was riveted, and ordered a copy the next day. The play's structure was adjusted at least twice, with producers wanting the intermission in a different spot (I agree with Levin). The play is beautifully written, which was the big surprise. Whatever one thinks of the content, it's a stunning piece of work.
