| I don't find this review to be particularly helpful. There have been other biographies of Berlin--what's essentially new about this one and in this one? What's the author's essential take on his subject? Is this a must for any Berlin fan or simply a decently written overview of his life? What do Berlin's daughters reveal that they haven't elsewhere? How does the fact that this is part of the Jewish Lives series inform the book's content? Is sharing the entire "N" word really necessary? |
