I was mystified by this production. There didn’t seem to be a vision, a compelling reason to revisit this story. The dialogue was neither witty or satirical. The characters were bland and uninteresting. In the film, at least you have movie stars like Natalie Wood who the audience has seen since she was a little girl. She fills in her character with her persona. And the there were the delectable discoveries Cannon and Gould.
The music is a breathy pleasant sort of soundtrack. Nothing pops in an arresting or sexy or dangerous way. |
