I think BAD HABITS--in which he and Alley both starred--had closed last week. The company is doing ALL MY SONS now, and I don't think Bean was in it. I've seen further news--he was jay-walking, and Venice Blvd is a busy, busy street.
I was sitting with my 31year old daughter when the news came on. "Why do I know that name?" she asked.
"Because he was Ben Franklin to Roger Rees' Adams at Reprise...and he was Bilbo in the animated HOBBIT you grew up on."
