I think it's supposed to be set in 1934. Hard to know exactly what they'd be wearing, without vintage photographs, since they would probably not be wearing the current fashion in that location/setting.
For me, it was close. But the stepping out to sing at the microphone, and the songs themselves are out of period, so I guess I forgave some. |
