I agree, but to swing this back towards topic before I bow out as well: Considering that the medley in question did featur pre-existing music as well as music written specifically for films, they might as well have included one or two (or three) clips from film adaptations of Broadway musicals. Specifically, they might have included a few seconds of the aerial shot into Julie Andrews launching into the title song of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, which is arguably one of THE most famous uses of music in cinema history. |
