Those ads are not cost effective. Rudin drank the kool-aid years ago and can break the habit.
Lots of actors make a lot more per week than the minimum.
Non-actor salaries (including, depending on the show, esp the stagehands) are a bigger issue.
But the bottom line is something Newton was NOT wrong about: "people just didn't want to see it." That is always the bottom line when a show flops, whether it does so elegantly or clumsily. |
