| I was surprised to see her listed on Oscar's memorial on Sunday. I believe there was a thread about her recently but I don't recall it mentioning that she had passed away in Feb. 2019. I first saw her on Broadway in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie starring Zoe Caldwell and was instantly taken with her. She later received an Academy Award Nom. for Best Supporting Actress for a Frank Perry film called Last Summer in which she is fantastic. I also saw her in a play off broadway called Dear Janet Rosenberg, Dear Mr. Kooning with Kevin O'Conner as her costar and they both gave incredible performances in this two hander. She retired from acting early on and so much is unknown about her life. She did write a children's book called The Winter Bird and apparently did get other work in the industry as a write. I will miss her and always wonder about her. |
