Following a highly successful & sold-out run in October, SoHo Playhouse presents the return of DANIEL CAINER in JEWISH CHRONICLES. The limited run will be at the theatre thru Sunday, February 23, 2020 in the Huron Club.
Feuding tailors, a cocaine-addicted rabbi & a Jewish woman who joins a fundamentalist Christian sect are just a few of the sometimes poignant, often humorous, stories told through music in singer-songwriter Daniel Cainer's Jewish Chronicles. Winner of an Edinburgh Fringe Award, Cainer's one-man musical journey has been a smashing success from London to New York to Sydney, thanks to his deft storytelling ability & virtuoso piano chops. You'll laugh, cry & thrill to this one-man masterpiece, which the U.K.'s Daily Mirror called "a must see."
DANIEL CAINER was working steadily as a musician, composer & broadcaster in Great Britain when he lost his sense of purpose in a severe mid-life crisis. At a therapist's suggestion, Daniel began piecing together a sense of identity via a musician exploration of his ancestral routes. He has appeared regularly on BBC Radio performing specially commissioned topical material & has performed his music in Synagogues & JCCs from New York to Los Angeles to Boca Raton & his songs have been featured by artists including Adele Anderson at the Edinburgh Fringe & Maureen Lipman at London's South Bank Centre.
