| Headley carved out exactly the career she wanted. It just hasn't been centered on Broadway and film. Headley made a conscious choice to focus on a recording career after Aida. She's made five solo albums and won a Grammy. She could have had her pick of stage projects in the early days of her career, but that's not the path she chose. She also makes her home in Chicago with her husband and two youngish kids. She gets a lot of work -- and makes a lot of money -- as a concert artist, which is far less grueling than eight shows a weeks. She's chosen her stage projects judiciously. |

| She's had a recurring role as hospital exec Gwen Garrett on Chicago Med for 3 years now. I assume she gets paid a lot for appearing on a popular TV series like this one. | |

| Yes, and it films in the city where she lives, meaning that she doesn't have to spend extended periods of time in New York or LA. Also, correction to my earlier post: Headley has three children, not two, including a newborn daughter. |
