I don't know Ms. Headley personally, but we have heaps of mutual friends.
I'll agree with other posters that it's not fair to say that Ms. Erivo has the career that Ms. Headey wanted. Do any of us really know what she wanted?!? I certainly don't.
But I think a few things jump out at me right away: for one, she sure seemingly wanted to grow a family and be a great mom. Let's be honest: that's super hard to do if you're leaving every night to do a show 8x a week.
Second up: Jesus. She's very involved in her local church and recorded an Emmy award winning Gospel album.
Third up: I'm willing to say that Ms. Erivo is a better actor than Ms. Headey. They're both IN freaking CREDIBLE, but I do think Ms. Erivo is a more impactful actor on the whole. That said, I think Ms. Headley makes for a more memorable vocalist.
Probably splitting hairs there on their talent, as they're both supremely talented singing actors.
