| Honestly, I'm speechless. An exquisite production in every way. I keep trying to write intelligent sentences, but anything I can conjure feels banal next to the majesty of what I just witnessed. The production is immediate and vibrant, rooted in today yet in touch with its classic roots, beautifully sung and powerfully danced, and simply heartbreaking. This is why I go to theater. |

| Yes! Yes! and Yes! Bought a second pair of tickets immediately after seeing it the first time and will be returning next Saturday matinee. Nervous, though, about getting to see Isaac Powell, whom I missed the first time. Not terribly optimistic. | |
