| The Good: 72 Miles to Go -- interesting play about a Mother who is an illegal immigrant, deported, but her husband, daughter and son and another son who is also illegal live 72 miles away in the USA from the Mother in Mexico. Covers 8 years. Should be more moving. Could be written better -- but a good story. Could be acted better, Father was weak in a possibly powerful role. Still thinking about it though. The Good: Bob & Carol & Ted and & Alice -- more fun for me than perhaps you -- since I lived through the period of this movie based play -- nice tunes by Duncan Shiek -- some fine acting -- humorous and human -- very pleasant. The Ugly was the mess called The Perplexed. I commented already in a thread below, but it was so poorly done -- the acting wasn't even up to Summer Stock value -- forgetaboutit -- Jesse will probably give it a check. |
