thanks guys. i hadn't considered just doing stickers.
i think that we were looking for something that would make the whole shoe spiderman, though. but the stickers seem to be a good fallback plan.

im just excited that he's interested in dance and want to do everything i can to foster the love early.

You could also try Etsy. I once bought my daughter some cute heels that had been customized/painted. There are many Etsy sellers who will do special orders, so you could give that a try.
