| Surprised a regional production announced before broadway. I would have thought the inheritance would be more likely due to current run on broadway doesn’t look like much of an extension beyond summer. | |

| The Ahmanson in Los Angeles has announced a "transfer" of The Lehman Trilogy for late fall, with the same creative team as for Broadway. They have not announced casting, however. I wonder if the San Francisco production is also a "transfer" or if it is a home-grown local production. | |

| This is the official act site and it does look like it’s more than just a local production. Very smart for tonys having a tour in place. I do think this will win over hangman or inheritance. | |

| Looks like the same production as the Ahmanson, whose graphic features the London and Broadway set design. It runs at the Geary Sept 11 - Oct 11, in what’s called a “strictly limited engagement.” It runs at the Ahmanson October 20 - November 28. Both directed by Sam Mendes. Bill, in San Diego |

| Usually a show opens on broadway to rave reviews and then regional theaters will start to get rights and announce a production the following season. | |

| The Inheritance is a two-part, seven-hour play with a massive cast (plus those extras who only appear in one scene but are absolutely essential), which has not been a critical or commercial hit on Broadway. I doubt it will have much of a life in regional theater. The Lehman Trilogy, while longish, only requires three actors and minimal sets/costumes. It's also been around for a while and almost universally acclaimed. I expect to see it at a lot of top-tier regional theaters in the coming years. | |

| I expect either Berkeley rep or ACT will produce the inheritance in the next season. New conservatory is another strong possibility. | |
