| The Inheritance is a two-part, seven-hour play with a massive cast (plus those extras who only appear in one scene but are absolutely essential), which has not been a critical or commercial hit on Broadway. I doubt it will have much of a life in regional theater. The Lehman Trilogy, while longish, only requires three actors and minimal sets/costumes. It's also been around for a while and almost universally acclaimed. I expect to see it at a lot of top-tier regional theaters in the coming years. |
