Good point.
But I was reacting more to the comment that they should somehow be targeting their gay audience more-- I was trying to suggest that perhaps there isn't a 'gay' audience or a 'straight' audience or whatever, but rather that some shows have mnore appeal than one little classification box can suggest.
But you're right, poorly worded.
BTW-- he also loves Book of Mormon and Avenue Q, so I think it's the perceived overt sentimentality of most musical he dislikes, rather than the genre itself. |
