It had a well-publicized recent run at NY Theatre Workshop. You can check out the reviews.

based on an utterly charming independent film from 2016 in which "A boy growing up in Dublin during the 1980s escapes his strained family life by starting a band to impress the mysterious girl he likes."

Its kind of terrific. They have also done a lot of work on the book and score and set and choreography. They began working early this year while still at NYTW. New song too. Have great hopes!

It's one of the most disappointing adaptations I've ever seen. There's no amount of work that can fix what I witnessed on stage at the NYTW, unless they start from scratch. I have no idea how this is transferring. Spend your $ on something else.

Well unlike your view of Mack and Mabel below, I agree basically about how you feel about Sing Street. But here’s a show where the book was in trouble off Broadway.
