| Based on SJP's wan, weak singing on the Once Upon A Mattress CD, I can't even imagine her beginning to sell the those great Hamlisch songs. Sorry to say. | |

| SJP's singing voice is certainly not great, plus she was miscast in MATTRESS, but I wouldn't describe her singing as notably wan or weak. I imagine, though of course I don't know for sure, that she would probably do a fine job with the TPOS songs, noting that several of the performers who have played the role were/are not known primarily as singers with exceptional voices -- for example, Stockard Channing and Diana Canova. | |
