I believe that Audience Rewards points are valued at $12.00 per 1000 points.
So, if you pay $84.00 plus 7500 points, that is the equivalent of $174.00. That could be full price, more or less, depending on the show.
However, if you wanted to purchase 7500 points on the AR website, you would have to pay $187.50 for those points.
I have been accumulating points since AR started, and have only rarely cashed in any for tickets.
In each instance, I chose the cheapest "select orchestra" option, and received okay (not great, not terrible) seats, usually half way back and slightly on the side.
It is probably best to look at the points that you earn as a gift, and not as something you paid for.
I enjoy playing Trivia and getting some extra, albeit negligible, additional points. |
