What an odd, idiosyncratic, and meandering play. The writing feels so unfocused and, at times, stilted. I am surprised this came from the imagination of the same playwright who brought us Take Me Out and The Assembled Parties. The Perplexed feels like the rough draft of an idea for a play.
I don’t know quite what to say.
The set is lovely.
I’d certainly love to hear a contrasting point of view. Maybe I’m missing something? |
