| "Maybe once upon a time, but unfortunately, no longer." But in the TV series "Fosse/Verdon", it was portrayed that steps were made easier when Liza joined the original cast so it happened from day 1 |

| I did not see Fosse/Verdon. Did they specifically say the steps were being made "easier" for Liza or merely tailored to her abilities? Liza is a fantastic dancer. For instance, when you lower a key for a singer, I don't see it as "making it easier" so much as making the song fit that person's voice. | |

| Why are we using a TV drama as a source for information? Why does it matter what they said---it is a script! The show was based on a book, which is the more direct authoritative source. And Wasson does say that some ballet was taken out of a number. There may have been other changes not noted in the book. |

| I have no idea if any adjustments were made to the choreography for Liza’s brief run in the original production of Chicago, but I just want to point out that Liza went into that show on VERY short notice and famously had only a few days of rehearsal. Quite a testament to her immense gifts as a singer/dancer/actress to be able to pull that off to successful reviews and sold out houses. And, yes, Liza is a fantastic dancer. If there’s any doubt, see her bravura performance in Liza with a Z. |
