You should take a look at the salaries of the Artistic Directors and General Managers and top staff producers of non-profits like MTC, Roundabout, LCT, Public even... before believing that the profits do not go into the pockets of any person or people.
In theaters where the artists are making a scale salary based on a lower tier "non-profit" scale, people in charge make huge salaries for jobs other qualified people who do happily for half or even 1/4 of what these people get paid to "run" the theater. It's a joke. |
