Saw Part One today. As a straight man in his late-50s, I also found it profoundly moving. Loved a lot of the writing and the performances, and was moved deeply by the conclusion of Part One. I moved to NYC in the early 1980s and worked in advertising, where I knew a number of men who eventually contracted (and died from) AIDS. I mourned them again today, but also all the other gone-too-soon friends, family and co-workers I've personally lost. The show really got to me in a very meaningful way. I just wasn't expecting it to land with as much impact as it did! Very grateful for that experience today.
