If you enjoyed the movies, you’d probably like the play

I’m not a huge fan (didn’t read the books) but watched the movies when they were released. I liked the play, but clearly the fans love it. If you do go, see the movies AGAIN. They are actually well crafted when you watch over a weekend or two and it will help immeasurably in getting the references in the play since it time jumps to the books/movies. And for ticket buying, depending when your trip is, there are discounts and dynamic price dropping near performances. So you probably won’t have to pay a huge amount for both parts. Finally, you do need to see both parts. It’s not like inheritance or even angels in America where you can see the first part and feel satisfied.
