My nephew wanted to see the play more than anything in the world. I have never seen any of the movies or read the books. I went in 100% blind. I was enchanted from start to finish. I thought the story was beautiful if maybe a little stuffed to justify the length. I understood the play on one level and my nephew filled me in after each part on what I missed. Didn’t bother me at all. You will enjoy it.
At the time the show opened, Elisabeth Vincentelli wrote a feature piece (not a review) about her experience seeing the show completely blind. I thought the title was hilarious. It was called, “Who Is Neville Longbottom, and Why Should I Care?”
