Looking forward to the new Restoration Period when theaters are open again
Posted by: PlayWiz 11:54 am EDT 03/17/20

Theatres were closed in England between 1642 and 1660 by the government. When they were allowed to re-open, they fortunately recovered, resulting in a lot of very wonderful and many rather naughty comedies in the Restoration period. Hopefully, this pandemic we're currently going through is over in some weeks or months. But remember, there is the precedent of theaters having been shut down back then, and they did come back strong. So I'm going to be hopeful theater will at some point come back roaring and with some renewed vigor, energy and with some great new shows!
