I agree with the expressed disdain for the bizarre thesis in the OP, and perhaps I'm alone in this sentiment but I don't think this thread is on topic. Ad homimen attack on a composer via amorphous claims of calculated indifference? Beneath us. Arguably, ALW's work has employed more people in the theater than anyone since R&H. Demonizing him at this frightening moment for the entire globe is inappropriate scapegoating. Theater will open again, the house-packing shows he wrote will return. He's not the problem here; it's all about a virus.
