I see that Mercedes Ruehl was nominated for it, but none of the other cast and the production didn't get a Best Revival nomination (those went to The Heiress, which won, Hamlet, The Rose Tattoo and The Molière Comedies), even though when it opened only 17 years prior it won Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize.
I know it's not on anyone's list for the best of the Tony or Pulitzer Prize winning plays... but I do think it's a good play, and quite effective when done well.
Was this production good? Was the rest of the cast notable? I have to assume at least Estelle Parsons was good in it... i don't know the rest of the cast except Marlo Thomas.
