Also, in addition to what BrianJ wrote, I thought Donny sang Joseph exceptionally well, and I certainly think his acting ability is/was good enough for the role, which I would not describe as especially difficult in that regard.
P.S., I wouldn't say that any of the stars who played Joseph in the various incarnations of that production -- and the previous one, for that matter -- could be described as first-rank stars at the time when they did the show. I'm thinking of Michael Damian, Andy Gibb, and David Cassidy. |
