| I saw him perform in one of Scott Siegel's Broadway Originals shows at 54 Below a few years ago. Hutton sang "Close Every Door" beautifully, and it was personally quite thrilling. I had seen Joseph a few weeks after the Tony performance and was disappointed that he had already played his final show (and I believe his final performance was the day of the Tony Awards). While I absolutely loved the the production (Allen Fawcett was a very good replacement) and Laurie Beechman was extraordinary, I was grateful finally to have the opportunity to see Hutton live. He moved out to LA and only infrequently comes to New York. |
