Eventually there will be a vaccine. It's not like this virus is going to wreck havoc until mankind is extinct. There will be a cure & life will resume again.
Unfortunately it probably means no Broadway until we get that vaccine. Or universal testing. But theater will be back at some point. I'm not counting on seeing another show this year-- or at least through summer-- but live theater will return.
As horrible as this situation is, it's not predicted to be as devastating at the 1918 flu pandemic. And there was theater after 1918.
Hang in there. it's probably going to be a rough year but we'll be seeing shows again before too long. I just hope we can continue to support the people whose livelihoods depend on the performing arts. |
