Just watched the opera the other night on Met Opera HD, and it was beautiful -- with wonderful performances by Sondra Radvanovsky (especially gorgeous pianissimi), Joseph Calleja (sounding a bit like Gigli or Bjoerling) and Joyce DiDonato (very moving indeed). I've seen Bellini's lovely opera before. But it struck me -- didn't Norma and Pollione ever hear of make up sex? Jeez! :)
The Met keeps adding free operas to watch -- on the app or at metopera.org , and many thanks to them! |
