| On Sunday, my PBS station presented Philip Glass' AKHNATEN from a Met production last year. It was a stunning kaleidoscope of styles with brilliant stage movement and pictures.....ethereally slow. Kudos to the costumer, Kevin Pollard. It was jolting to see Zachary James who played Lurch in THE ADDAMS FAMILY as the ghost/narrator. What a presence! It was a Glass experience, so I didn't come away humming any arias, but a true THEATRICAL experience. |
