dramedy, thanks for the NPR link! It's interesting to see the divergence over the decades in picking newer musicals but the same old plays.
I always thought Shrek was a bigger success than Addams, but that's not true, as far as Broadway goes. Addams ran significantly longer (300 performances more). I think I was confused because Shrek got better reviews (it got 8 Tony noms, including Best Musical, and Addams got 2, for Score and Kevin Chamberlin). |
