Since you seem familiar with the play--I only saw it once--does George Kaufman wash his hands a lot as he does in the book. It didn't make much of an impression on me at the time
When I read the book, it seemed like a case OCD; now it seems very timely. I think his compulsion predates the flu epidemic. But I am not sure. |
