Have any Live From Lincoln Center telecasts been made available for viewing at home? It has long been said, and written, that the contracts for Live for Lincoln Center allow for only a limited number of telecasts, which is why few have been made available commercially. I think those that have been made available commercially were shot with a different contract in place. Perhaps in some cases they were sold to Live for Lincoln Center rather than having been shot for the series in the first place.
Fifteen or 20 years ago, some company announced that it was going to try to release several older Live From Lincoln Center telecasts, that they had started negotiations to make it possible, but it never happened. I think that doing this retroactively just proved too expensive and too difficult. |
