I watched the streaming production by wit company in Chicago. Someone asked if filming is adequate—yes it is. The audience is on two sides of the center stage and there are cameras on both sides with closeups—not a static filming. As for the play, I liked it a lot. I kindof thought it started out as a rehash of the Broderick/witherspoon election movie, but it does go in some unexpected directions and empathy switches to different characters.
I bought the ticket on TodayTix. I think it is available only for this weekend. It’s a little different than other streaming in that you have to wait until 20 minutes before “curtain” to get code but you have a day to watch. |
