For lestat, you really need to see the prebroadway tryout in San Fran. The Egyptian scene was dropped from broadway, which was a good drop. And they really didn’t know how to end it—ever or forever. Lestat coming out with street clothes saying he will live forever was such a tacked on ending on a missed opportunity evening.
I saw dance of the vampires but a little too drunk to really remember all the details. I probably wasn’t as critical since I was lit while watching, but it was a mess.
Dracula was boring. They stick to the book to much in my opinion. Dracula downfall should be in England. The whole carriage ride race to Transylvania and those last scenes are anti climatic. |
