Promoter/Venue agrees to offer said perf at said date and said time for said price. If the promoter/venue fails to live up to any of those criteria, isn't that a breach of contract? A ticket is not an instrument that says "some show, on whatever date we choose, wherever it gets performed." A ticket cannot change into a gift card without both parties agreeing to that - despite what the small print states on the back of the ticket. Or can it now? I would not be surprised if this TicketMaster policy won't hit the courtroom.
