The Boston marathon has been "postponed" (it would be taking place next Monday in any other situation). I would tend to think that it too, will not happen this year. I'm no runner, lol, but I certainly feel for all of those who had their sights set on being in - or watching - those events. Ironically, I also have tentative plans to be in NYC on marathon weekend in November - with of course no assurance that the event bringing me into the city is going to happen either. All we can do is hope that our events, in some way, are able to happen. There's a feasible chance that they won't. But I'd rather hold on to *some* hope.

So many of us out of work. As a musician, it's a double whammy, as I'm not only losing money, but I'm losing what I love doing the most - making music with others, especially in a theatre setting. So for me, facing a potential reality of no gigs at all for the foreseeable future (aside from online teaching) is frankly devastating beyond what I can reasonably handle right now. I'm finding some joy in the online teaching I'm doing, but when the semester wraps up I will have nothing, and right now that's very hard for me to face. So, I have to hold on to whatever I can.

I wish you the best as well, and hope that we will all make it through this relatively sanely. And let's be thankful we have places like this site to come to, because that does help. :-)
