These are my favorites DESPITE the opinions of professional critics -- or quasi-critics -- like you.
I don't care if your informed critical opinion has determined that the book for Chess was inadequate or that Jessica Lange didn't live up to your expectations at the performance you saw. These are my favorites
DESPITE bad reviews -- then or in retrospect now. Your further professional opinion is irrelevant to the nature of this thread.
A test, however, would be your opinion from the opposite side of the perspective: Did you rave for Honeymoon in Vegas? Because as far as I'm concerned it was the worst musical I'd seen since Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public. |
