I know the answer is money, but shows like Venice and Fortress of Solitude, also unsuccessful at the Public (and I believe Venice got some terrible reviews right?) got cast albums. Not every musical can be I know, but this one had George C. Wolfe and a famous subject matter so I'd think it'd be more likely to be sprung for than Venice or FofS.
Ah well. :( I'd just love to hear it.
I've also never heard of another production of it, or of Fortress or Venice either for that matter. |
