I know that Curtains is not a top-tier show but I really enjoyed the Broadway production. Mysteries are my favorite book genre, and it's extremely rare that an original film or stage mystery nowadays has a villain who is fairly clued and actually potentially guessable by the audience. I think the show was also extremely well-cast. The cast was very charming and put over the material well, papering over some of its flaws.
I saw a regional production without that same charm in the cast, and the flaws were much more apparent. |
