| Broadway World has listed the cast members for the 1776 workshop, and it appears to be cast as an all-female revival. (I am saying it in this way because I am unfamiliar with most of the cast members, and I don't know what their actual gender identities are.) The cast members playing Martha Jefferson and Abigail Adams are each also playing one of the Congress members. I know there had been rumors that the production was being cast in this manner, but I think this is the first public confirmation of that. No big box-office names, which is not surprising given the original commitment (premiere in Boston in May 2020, national tour, then Broadway in spring 2021). |
