One of the greatest.
A few years ago I heard him give a talk where he summed up his career. In paraphrase:
When he was young, the directors all said, “Who is Brian Dennehy?”
After a few years they said, “Get me Brian Dennehy!”
A few years more and they said “Get me a young Brian Dennehy!”
A few years more and they said, “Who is Brian Dennehy?” |
