| I will try to be open-minded, but 1776 is my third favorite musical of all time, partly because I am extremely partial to male voices. Maybe if they had cast it a la HAMILTON, that would have been a better step, not going all the way to the other side of the casting spectrum. But I will see it and keep an open mind. | |

| It has been done with a cast a la Hamilton (the Encores! production of a few years ago was one, but I think there were others). There have also been other productions of an all-female version (I think there is a separate licensed version). I love the show, and I hope to see this one. |
