| KRAPP'S LAST TAPE at Stratford, one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. Dennehy's Krapp totally eclipsed his Eerie Smith in HUGHIE which was the second part of the double play bill. Dennehy's Krapp was funny in a mordant way and very very sad. Beckett in a North American mode and Beckett at its best reaching straight into the heart. |
